Why hydrate your OnePen probe?

Hydration is essential for accurate pH measurements and long probe life.

The glass bulb and porous wick at the tip of your OnePen must stay hydrated to deliver fast, stable, and accurate readings. When the probe dries out, measurements can drift and probe performance can decline.

Hydrating your OnePen in Bluelab KCl Storage Solution helps restore moisture to the probe tip and supports the internal reference system, improving accuracy and reliability.

Never use RO, distilled, or deionised water for hydration, as pure water can damage the probe's internal chemistry and shorten its lifespan.

For best results, hydrate your OnePen in Bluelab KCl Storage Solution for 24 hours before calibration. Regular hydration helps maintain performance and extend probe life.

Why use KCl Storage Solution?

KCl (Potassium Chloride) Storage Solution keeps pH probes hydrated and performing accurately between uses.

Bluelab KCl Storage Solution is specially formulated to match the KCl gel inside Bluelab pH probes. Storing your probe in KCl helps replenish the reference solution, supporting probe health and extending its lifespan.

Using tap water, pH calibration solutions, distilled, de-ionized, or RO water for storage can contaminate the probe's internal reference system and lead to premature failure.

For best results, keep a small amount of fresh KCl solution in the probe cap during storage and replace it weekly.

A properly stored probe delivers more reliable pH measurements and a longer service life.
